Professor Howe recently created a charitable gift annuity, adding to the many gifts her former students, colleagues, and friends have made to the Ruth-Arlene W. Howe Black Student Leadership Initiative. Charitable annuities are one of several legacy giving options, including bequests, charitable trusts, and beneficiary designations.

Such gifts are surprisingly simple to make and can provide income in addition to significant tax benefits.
