Sophia Hall ’12 has been appointed to the Boston Bar Association’s Task Force on Ensuring Police Accountability. The task force was created in response to the killing of George Floyd and ensuing protests for racial equality to reform the way Massachusetts addresses accountability of police actions through laws and policies. Particularly, the task force will focus on the various regulations currently in place protecting police from legal punishment or accountability when acting inappropriately.

Hall is currently the supervising attorney at Lawyers for Civil Rights, where she does significant work for people of color and matters of diversity in cases of police brutality, racial profiling, and hate crimes. Her appointment has been featured in the Boston Bar Association newsletter and Boston Business Journal.
