The Hyatt Regency Boston was the setting for this year’s Law Day celebration on April 27. Hundreds of alumni, faculty, and friends gathered to honor the five award winners and raise funds for scholarships. St. Thomas More Award-winner and former US Energy Secretary Ernest J. Moniz, gave the keynote address, “Global Climate Change and Nuclear Security: The Need for Both Public Engagement and Public Service.” Tom Burton ’96, Law Day co-chair (with John Hanify ’74) bestowed the trophies to Moniz and the other four awardees: Michael J. Puzo ’77, the William J. Kenealy, SJ, Alumnus of the Year Award; Norah M. Wylie ’79, the Special Service Award; Joan Zorza ’81, the Hon. David S. Nelson Public Interest Law Award; and Jermaine L. Kidd ’07, the Recent Graduate Award.
