Administrative assistant, 76. Patricia Parlon was a loyalist and self-described “people person,” characteristics that explain her career longevity: twenty-four years at BC Law following fifteen years at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office. She was the “the eyes and ears” of several deans and made each transition seamless, observed Professor Robert Bloom. Parlon passed away in December.
Administrative assistant, 102. Helen Drinan, a one-time teacher, lifelong community volunteer, and sister-in-law to former Dean Robert F. Drinan, SJ, joined the BC Law staff after her husband’s passing and remained, holding various positions, for thirty years. She retired in 2011 at the age of 92.
