That Party Spirit!

Hundreds gathered for laughter-filled weekend where friendships were renewed and memories made anew.

US Senator Edward Markey ’72 chatted with colleagues at his 50th reunion.

Reunion 2022 brought with it laughter and a new set of happy memories on November 4 and 5. Hundreds of alumni from classes ending in 2 and 7 celebrated at the Four Seasons in Boston. Festivities included a meet-the-new-dean reception Friday and a party Saturday for members of the BC Law Dean’s Council followed by Reunion Dinners for each class.

Odette Lieanu, who will take the reins at the Law School in January as the inaugural Marianne D. Short, Esq., Dean, received a warm welcome from alumni, faculty, and students on Friday night. The next evening, Dean’s Council donors were thanked for their support at a gathering that included US Senator Edward Markey, who as a 1972 graduate, was there to celebrate his 50th reunion. At the Half-Century Dinner, professor Sharon Beckman and staff attorney Lauren Jacobs ’19 gave a presentation about the recent successes of the BC Innocence Program.

Daytime activities included a campus tour, visits to the classrooms of professors Michael Cassidy and Ingrid Hillinger, and the annual meetings of the Alumni Board and Black Alumni Network.

Long after the party had wound down Saturday evening, echoes of the gaiety still lingered.
