Law Day Honors Six Awardees

Every year, the BC Law community looks forward to recognizing colleagues who’ve had on impact in the legal profession.

Former Dean Vincent Rougeau received the St. Thomas More Award and five alumni won other top honors during the sparkling Law Day 2023 celebration at the Seaport Hotel Boston on May 4. Some 200 guests gathered to applaud the achievements of the distinguished awardees. Jay Blitzman ’74 received the Daniel G. Holland Lifetime Achievement Award, and Andres Torres ’08 won the Hon. David S. Nelson Public Interest Law Award. The William J. Kenealy, SJ, Alumnus of the Year Award was bestowed on sisters Vera Sung ’90 and Chanterelle Sung ’04. Lauren Jacobs ’19 was recognized with the Recent Graduate Award.
