Kelly Davidson
Photographer Davidson is an award-winning photographer with a diverse portfolio of clients that include musicians, higher education, and creative agencies. Known for capturing authentic and compelling images, she brings a thoughtful approach to every project. For this issue she collaborated with lawyer Erica Brody ’11, who is dedicated to tackling some of the most serious and challenging cases. “Photographing Erica was both inspiring and humbling. Her work requires immense strength and empathy, and I aimed to reflect that in the images,” Davidson said.
Elizabeth Gehrman
Writer Boston-based Gehrman is a freelance writer and editor specializing in medicine, science, the environment, and profiles. She has written for The New York Times, The Boston Globe Magazine, Good Housekeeping, and This Old House. Her work has also appeared in college and university publications, including in Harvard Medicine, and she has done articles and online content for area hospitals. In BC Law Magazine, she previously interviewed Mathew Rosengart ’87, and in this issue profiles Michael Schiffer ’04.
Chad Konecky
Writer Konecky, principal at GloWEST Communications, is National Director of the Gatorade Player of the Year program. His multimedia portfolio includes NFL, FIFA, and NCAA coverage at ESPN and in USA TODAY. In “The Game Changers,” he explores the convergence of sports and law with BC Law grads playing pivotal roles in the arena: “I’ve spent much of my career in sports journalism and I’ve written about the law for thirty years, but I failed to appreciate the sophistication of legal issues impacting global athletics until I reported this piece.”
Kagan McLeod
Illustrator McLeod’s work has appeared in the Washington Post, GQ, Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly, and was recognized by the American Society of Magazine Editors for his work in Portfolio magazine. He began his career as a staff artist at a Canadian newspaper and has been freelancing as an illustrator, designer, and comics artist since 1999. He’s authored two books—the instructional drawing book Draw People Every Day and the graphic novel Intimate King Fu. For this issue of BC Law Magazine, McLeods did the portrait of Professor Renee Jones.
