Brigida Benitez was sworn in as the forty-third president of the District of Columbia Bar on June 17. A partner at Steptoe & Johnson LLP, she has served the DC Bar in a number of capacities. She has also been president of the Hispanic Bar Association of DC, a member of the board of directors of the Women’s Bar Association of DC, and a member of the BC Law Alumni Board.
