Beginnings: Leung found meaning in tax planning when he saw how it informs charitable giving—from his introduction to legacy building at Dartmouth College through his efforts to establish his undergraduate alumni class as a tax-exempt organization, to his classes at BC Law, he realized how rewarding it is to assist families with their trust and estate planning needs. “Don’t let the tax tail wag the dog,” Leung said, acknowledging how structuring gifts, donations, and inheritances efficiently requires a deep understanding of tax law. Rising to the Top: Leung was recognized in 2021 as a “Key Lawyer” by The Legal 500 US in the area of nonprofit tax law. Now, as a partner at Withersworldwide, he’s striving to provide pragmatic solutions to complex issues faced by his clients.
