This exhibit in BC Law’s Daniel R. Coquillette Rare Book Room features books and papers from the personal collection of Morris, who was the second African American lawyer in the United States. His ardent abolitionism, his leadership in the fight against segregated schools and militias, his devotion to his wife, his struggles with his faith, and his relationship with a young Boston College are all reflected in this remarkable collection, on view through July and online.
