Several hundred reunioners from classes ending in 2 and 7, including alumni attending their 50th reunion, filled the lounges, dining rooms, and ballroom at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston on November 4 and 5, happy to be celebrating together again.
The weekend was made all the more festive by Friday evening’s community-wide, meet-the-new-dean reception that introduced incoming designate Odette Lienau, the inaugural Marianne D. Short, Esq., Dean, before she took office on January 17, 2023.
Dean’s Council members were thanked for their generosity to BC Law by Joan Lukey ’74 at a Saturday evening party held prior to the individual class dinners. Among those attending the Half-Century Dinner was US Senator Edward Markey ’72. He and his classmates were treated to a presentation by Professor Sharon Beckman and staff attorney Lauren Jacobs ’19 on the recent successes of the BC Innocence Program.
Daytime activities included a campus tour, visits to the classrooms of professors Michael Cassidy and Ingrid Hillinger, and the annual meetings of the Alumni Board and Black Alumni Network.
Planning has already begun for Reunion 2023, so stand by for news of the next big bash.
