Commencement speaker David J. Barron, chief judge of the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, encouraged the graduates to resist the temptation to chase the “objectively right” next job, and instead to find work that matches their own character, skills, and circumstance. “It is when there is that match that you are most likely to be alive to the task at hand—and when you are alive to it, you are most likely to do it well, in the way that you uniquely can.” Those receiving diplomas on May 22 included 205 JD graduates and 13 LLMs. Speakers included Dean Odette Lienau, BC President William P. Leahy, SJ, and Associate Dean of Faculty Paulo Barrozo. Top honors at commencement went to Caroline Robertson (academic rank), Minaldy Cadet (intellectual qualities), Audrey Vila (public service), and Anna Guzman (scholarship and service).
