Award Winning Aziz Rana, author of The Constitutional Bind, was honored by the Marguerite Casey Foundation as one of its 2025 Freedom Scholars for his scholarship in service to constitutional, economic, and racial justice. Cheryl Bratt and Reena Parikh co-authored a chapter for the book Integrating Doctrine and Diversity: Beyond the First Year, which received the Joseph A. Andrews Legal Literature Award by the American Association of Law Libraries. Lis Keller, Maureen Van Neste, and Joan Blum received the BC Law 2025 Faculty Prize for Innovation in Pedagogy for creating a pilot program to prepare law students to use AI applications in their classes. Natalya Shnitser received BC Law’s Excellence in Scholarship award for her Yale Law Journal article on mutual funds.
Newly Appointed Diane Ring was named BC Law’s inaugural Marianne D. Short and Ray Skowyra Professor. Mary Bilder joined the Advisory Board of the Papers of James Madison and will support a Founding Era papers project. Katie Young was elected to the American Law Institute in recognition of her expertise in human rights, constitutional law, and social rights. Beverly Moran, BC Law’s Paulus Endowment Tax Fellow, was named to the Tax Policy Advisory Committee of the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies.
