US Court of Appeals Judge Lara E. Montecalvo ’00 addressed the largest BC Law class to graduate in recent history, three hundred and thirty-eight JD and twelve LLM students. At the May 24 commencement in Conte Forum, Montecalvo urged them to always be open to learning from mistakes, to welcome collaboration, and to humanize clients in order to better defend them. Dean Odette Lienau stressed BC Law’s mission of lawyers for the greater good, saying, “I hope that all of you are forming your own definition of what that means for you.” Top honors bestowed at commencement went to Anna Hunt (academic rank), Regine Cooper (intellectual qualities), Ayesha Ahsan (public service), and Jonathan Bertulis-Fernandes (scholarship and service).
