Nearly 175 people filled the Seaport Hotel Boston ballroom on April 30 to celebrate four Law Day honorees for their accomplishments and contributions to the legal profession, the BC Law community, and the greater good.
Award recipients were: Heather Perez Arroyo ’17, senior immigration attorney, Massachusetts Law Reform Institute (Recent Graduate Award); Ricardo Brandon Rios ’10, DLA Piper partner focused on regulatory and government affairs, also served in Biden administration (Hon. David S. Nelson Public Interest Law Award); Hon. Miriam M. Shearing ’64, woman of many firsts in Nevada courts—former clerk Jessica Langsam accepted the award on Shearing’s behalf—(Daniel G. Holland Lifetime Achievement Award); and James Sturdevant ’72, high-impact consumer rights and class action litigator (St. Thomas More Award).
