Fred Hopengarten ’70 (above) was elected to the Board of Directors of the American Radio Relay League, the national organization for amateur radio comprised of more than 160,000 members. His election to the fifteen-member board was the realization of a lifelong dream for Hopengarten, who has been an FCC-licensed radio ham since the age of ten. A partner in the Boston office of Wolf Greenfield, Corbett has been appointed chair of the litigation practice. With nearly twenty years of experience in first chair litigation, he counsels clients in the areas of complex intellectual property and patent litigation, post-grant proceedings, appellate proceedings, and licensing. He was previously a partner in the Washington, DC, office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, and practiced in the areas of patent and intellectual property litigation.
Jared M. Viders ’99
Viders recently published his first book Seize the Moment! Finding Meaningfulness in the Here and Now with Mosaica Press. His law practice in Suffern, NY, consists primarily of litigation and drafting briefs on behalf of other New York firms. Jared also is a member of the faculty at Yeshiva Ohr Somayach in Monsey, NY, where he received his rabbinical ordination.
Kate Sandman McKinley ’02
A senior managing director and general counsel of State Street Global Advisors in Boston, McKinley manages the company’s legal affairs worldwide and oversees attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants in Boston, Montreal, London, Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Sydney. She has been with State Street Global Advisors since 2010, and previously was chief operating officer of the firm’s Americas Institutional Client Group, responsible for the management and operation of institutional business in North America and Latin America.

Stack is a partner in the Toledo, OH, office of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP and a member of the firm’s litigation and employee compensation and benefits groups.
