ileta Sumner wrote an article for San Antonio Lawyer, the San Antonio Bar Association’s official publication, about how her birthday, June 19, became a federal holiday. In 2023, Sumner received a Star of the Bar award from the State Bar of Texas for an article in the May-June 2023 issue of San Antonio Lawyer.
