Podcasts As a wealth planning expert at First Citizens Bank, Shuriah uses a novel podcast format to help entrepreneurial clients bridge the gap between business and personal planning. “Most of the podcasts only talked to [running a business or personal wealth] but not to both,” she explained. Personal Shuriah is no stranger to the issues that entrepreneurs face and often recommends that they create an advisory board of people from a variety of backgrounds who can provide guidance on how to avoid mistakes. Passionate Intrigued by tax law, Shuriah found that as a woman and minority, it wasn’t easy to enter the field. “Many people tried to discourage me or stand in my way,” she said. “I’m glad I stuck with it.” It was worth it to find her passion in deciphering the law and translating it into understandable terms for clients.
