Mary Pat Brogan

Mary Pat Brogan is a new partner at BakerHostetler, working out of the Cleveland office. Her areas of expertise in her practice include criminal defense, class action defense, commercial disputes, and appellate litigation.

Advocacy: Mary Pat Brogan’s passion for litigation began at BC Law through clinics and appellate advocacy experiences, and she values the profession’s role in helping clients resolve difficult disputes. As she explained, litigation is “a structured path with rules and guidelines to get people to resolution on conflicts they have otherwise been unable to solve.” Team Sport: At BakerHostetler, Brogan has built her career around mentorship and collaboration, crediting much of her growth to the lawyers she has worked alongside. The advice that has stayed with her most is that “the practice of law is a team sport.” Adaptability: From clerking on the Third Circuit to balancing partnership and parenthood, Brogan has embraced change throughout her career. Rather than planning too far ahead, she encourages young lawyers to focus on “making the next right decision.”
