Josephine McNeil was honored with the 10th annual Woman of the Year Award by the Women’s Law Center at BC Law and selected among the 2017 “Unsung Heroines of Massachusetts” by the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women for her work to address homelessness and social justice issues in the Newton, MA, community. She has retired as founder and executive director of the nonprofit Citizens for Affordable Housing in Newton Development Organization.
