Margaret “Meg” E. Sheehan was honored with the Land Stewardship Award presented by the Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions for her “lifelong commitment to land and water protection, social justice, and indigenous people.” She has practiced public interest environmental law since graduating and was one of BC Law’s first students to study under the esteemed Professor Zygmunt Plater. She has founded and led environmental campaigns and is currently coordinator for the nonprofit Save the Pine Barrens, based in Plymouth, MA.
