Ron Kendler

Ron Kendler has a new position as a partner in the Washington, DC, office of Steptoe LLP. He was previously counsel in international trade at White & Case LLP.

Cleared for Takeoff: Ron Kendler’s path into international trade law began with a childhood fascination with airplanes that never faded. A senior thesis on aircraft trade disputes—followed by a law school note on the same subject—sparked what he describes as “like a flicker, like a light inside of me.” Charting Course: At BC Law, Kendler turned interest into action, conducting independent research and observing World Trade Organization proceedings in Geneva. He later worked with the International Air Transport Association before joining White & Case LLP in Geneva and Washington, DC. Next Ascent: Now a partner at Steptoe LLP, Kendler encourages students to follow their interests, as he did: “What is it about the law that you’re passionate about?”
