On a beautiful late summer day in the Stuart Courtyard at Boston College Law School, hundreds poured onto the lawn to celebrate the start of the new academic year. Treated to a so-called “Western themed” spread of ballpark pretzels, hot dogs and guacamole, the new 1Ls and LLM students mingled with 2 and 3Ls, faculty, and staff. The two-hour welcome reception was held on August 31, during the first week of classes.
