Vince Lau and Geoff Why

Vincent W. Lau ’97 and Geoffrey Why ’98 were named among Boston’s 2023 Fifty Most Influential Asian American Pacific Islanders by Get Konnected!, a Boston-based inclusive networking group. Lau is the managing partner at Clark Lau LLC, an immigration law firm in Boston. Why is a partner in the Boston office of Verrill Dana LLP and co-chair of its telecommunications law practice group.

       

Dynamic Duo: Vince Lau ’97 and Geoff Why ’98 were two of five attorneys honored in the legal category of Get Konnected!’s inaugural list of Boston’s 50 Most Influential Asian American Pacific Islander leaders contributing to the economic, civic, cultural, and social fabric of Boston and Massachusetts. Lau’s Contributions: In addition to co-founding a strategic-focused immigration firm, Lau has served as chapter chair of the New England Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, spoken annually at its national conference, and served on its various national committees. Why’s Work: A telecommunications attorney with experience in related policy and legislative issues, Why is a board chair of the Asian Community Development Corporation, past commissioner and vice chair of the Massachusetts Asian-American Commission, and an adjunct professor of administrative law at BC Law. A DEI Visionary: Get Konnected! was founded in 2008 as a diversity, equity, and inclusion social impact venture, promoting inclusive business networking and connection with professionals from all cultures across industries and sectors.
